Monday, June 02, Miss Kathleen Conboy and Neal Dougherty were united in marriage by the Rev. Dorrance T. Noonan at Sacred Heart Catholic church. The bride is the daughter of John J. Conboy and the late Mrs. Conboy of Volga, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Mary Dougherty of Anamosa. The church organist, Mrs. Zita Humbert, cousin of the bride, played a program of nuptial music during the ceremony. Mrs. Norbert Niemeyer, Elkader, attended her sister as matron of honor, and James Dogherty, of Center Point, attended his brother as best man. Norbert Niemeyer, Elkader, was usher at the church. John Niemeyer, the bride's nephew, and William Minihan served as acolytes.
The bride is a graduate of the Strawberry Point high school and Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls. She has been teaching the Anamosa schools. The groom graduated from the Anamosa high school and is employed in Anamosa, where they will establish their home.
