Miss Marilyn Steen became the bride of Carroll Berns Tuesday, May 25, at the parsonage of the Peace Evangelical church. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Miss Iona Beck, cousin of the groom, attended the bride, while VaLoyd Steen, brother of the bride, was best man.

The bride is a graduate of the Elkader public schools and the groom attended the Communia school. The new couple will make their home 3 1/2 miles southeast of Elkader.
