A private wedding was solemnized May 20 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arno Kregel in Garnavillo when their oldest daughter, Jeanne, was married to Verne Wirkler, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey P. Wirkler. The Rev. L. H. Brandt officiated. The bride's sister, Miss Gladys Kregel, was her attendant and the groom was attended by his brother, Harvey Wirkler Jr.
