The marriage of Miss Irene Wiley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Wiley of Elkader, to Harry Hubbard, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Hubbard, also of Elkader, took place at St. Joseph's parsonage Saturday. The Rev. J. Showalter officiated. They were attended by Miss Marion Wiley, sister of the bride, and Mervin Gregerson.
Mrs. Hubbard graduated from the Littleport high school with the class of '43. Following her graduation she was employed at Oelson's Ben Franklin store for a time and for the past year at Hughes bakery. Mr. Hubbard graduated from the Elkader high school with the class of '42. He enlisted in the merchant marines in June 1945 and had been stationed in the Atlantic area. He returned home last May and has been assisting his father on the home farm where the new couple will make their home.
