Walz - Stannard marriage - 1946

The marriage of Miss Catherine M. Stannard and Edward H. Walz was solemnized at St. Joseph's church, Elkader, Wednesday, Oct. 02, with Bishop E. A. Fitzgerald officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orville D. Stannard, Volga City and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jake Walz, Elkader. Miss Evelyn Stannard, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and Norbert Walz, brother of the groom, was best man.

The bride was a graduate of the Elkader high school and then took nurses training in Chicago.

After a trip to Colorado, they will live at the home of the groom's parent's until spring, when they will go to farming.
