STRAWBERRY POINT: Saturday, June 01, in St. Mary's Catholic church, occurred the wedding of Miss Margaret M. Henry, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Henry and the late John M. Henry, and Joseph W. Meyer, son of Mrs. Agnes Meyer of Manchester. The Rev. Father J. P. Fagan officiated, and the Rev. Father Edward Fitzgerald of Elkader was in the sanctuary. Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. John J. O'Connor of Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. Meyer was principal of the Strawberry Point high school the past year and formerly was English teacher here. The immediate previous two years to her principalship here she served as general field representative with the American Red Cross. Mr. Meyer served four years with the United States Army, 22 months of that time overseas. He was advertising manager for the Clayton County Register before volunteering for the Army and returned to the same position in January. He plans to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder, where the couple will make their home.
