Miss Dorothy Mae Tieden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Tieden, became the bride of William Brabham, son of Mrs. Clara Brabham, all of Elkader, in an informal home ceremony Tuesday afternoon, June 04. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. George Witte, a cousin of the bride, was best man, and a friend of the bride attended her.
The bride is a graduate of the Elkader high school and Elkader Junior college. The groom is a graduate of the Elkader high school and attended junior college until he enlisted in July of '42. He was overseas three years and saw active service at New Georgia, Emireau, Guam and Okinawa and was also with the occupation forces in Japan.
Following a wedding trip they will return here until September when they will go to Ames where Mr. Brabham will enter Iowa State college as a forestry student.
