The marriage of Miss Catherine Frommelt to Donald Courtnage, Jr., was solemnized at St. Joseph's church here Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock with the Rev. E. A. Fitzgerald officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Frommelt of Elkader, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Courtnage of Strawberry Point. Miss Mary Thyne of Edgewood, a cousin of the groom, acted as bridesmaid, while Loren Frommelt, brother of the bride, served as best man. Sharon Lee Frommelt of Guttenberg was the flower girl and Clark Frommelt, her brother, was the ring bearer.
The bride is a graduate of St. Mary's high school in Guttenberg and for two and one-half years has been employed as secretary of the Farmers Cooperative Creamery Co. in Elkader. The groom is a graduate of the Strawberry Point high school. He was recently discharged from the Army after three years of service, two of which were spent with the army's Eighth Air Force in England. He is now associated with his father in the Courtnage drug store in Strawberry Point, where the new home will be made.
