MCGREGOR: In the Methodist church at two o'clock Saturday afternoon Miss Jeanette Darnell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Darnell, became the bride of John Henry Bernhard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Bernhard of near McGregor. Rev. E. H. Shuey officiated. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Enid Darnell, while Herbert Schwietert attended the groom. Ushers were Marlys Vick, Geneva Bernhard, a cousin of the groom, and Donald Darnell, brother of the bride.

Mrs. Bernhard is a graduate of the McGregor high school and has completed three semesters at the University of Minnesota. The groom is a graduate of the Monona high school.

The new couple will be at home on the groom's farm near Giard.
