Wacker - Halverson marriage - 1946

Announcement is being made of the marriage of Miss Patricia Halverson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Halverson of Elkader, and Joseph Wacker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wacker, also of Elkader, in the parsonage of the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church in Elkader on Thur., Feb. 21. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Walter, brother-in-law and sister of the groom.

The bride is a graduate of the Elkader high school and attended summer school at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, and has since been employed at the Schmidt Pharmacy here. The groom attended Elkader high school and for the past several years has been assisting his father on the home farm, where the new couple will reside.
