Souvignier - Minihan marriage - 1945

SOUVIGNIER, MINIHAN

At Sacred Heart church, Volga City, Sept. 22, occurred the marriage of Ensign Dorothy Jane Minihan (NC) U.S.N.R., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Minihan, and Lt. Gaylor Souvignier, U.S.M.C., of Canton, S.D. The Rev. D. T. Noonan officiated. Bridesmaid was Miss Betty Lyons of St. Paul, Minn.

Mrs. Souvignier was graduated from the Elkader high school. She also attended Elkader Junior college and is a graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing at Rochester, Minn. For the past seven months she has been assigned to the Great Lakes Naval hospital. Lt. Souvignier was graduated from the Canton, S.D., high school. He is a graduate of the University of South Dakota at Vermillion, where he received his B.A. degree in economics. He served in the Pacific theatre, where he was wounded. After a brief wedding trip the couple will return to Great Lakes Naval hospital.
