Rowland - Berns marriage - 1945

Miss Noreen Berns, daughter of Mrs. Lula Berns of Guttenberg, became the bride of T5 Robert Rowland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rowland of Garnavillo, Tuesday, Sept. 18, at St. Joseph's church, Garnavillo. Rev. L. C. Iekel officiated. Bridesmaid was Miss Marie Schmelzer of Cedar Rapids, while best man was Donald Matt of St. Olaf.

The bride is a graduate of Garnavillo high school and Paris Beauty academy at Cedar Rapids, and for the last year and a half has been employed at the Duffin Beauty shop in Garnavillo. The groom is also a graduate of Garnavillo high school, entered service in 1943 and just returned from 17 months in the E.T.O.
