Strawberry Point: The marriage of Miss Jeanne M. Phelps, daughter of Mrs. Nelle C. Phelps of Strawberry Point to Norman Baumgartner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Baumgartner, also of Strawberry Point, took place June 24, at the Congregational church, the Rev. O'Neill officiating. The bride was given in marriage by a cousin, C. A. Briar of Monona. The bridesmaid, a cousin of the bride, was Miss Cecile Ruth Ewing of Beloit, Wis. Erwin Baumgartner of Strawberry Point, brother of the groom was best man.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Strawberry Pint high school. Mrs. Baumgartner is also a graduate of Upper Iowa University, Fayette, and has taught the past two years at West Union. The new couple will live at Waverly where Mr. Baumgartner is employed by the Lutheran Mutual Insurance Co.
