At a quiet ceremony at St. Joseph's church Tuesday, May 02, Miss Mary Geraldine Ehrhardt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edw. Ehrhardt of Elkader, was married to Pvt. Charles Gundacker of New Hampton. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. James P. Taken officiated. The couple was attended by Miss Marguerite Ehrhardt and James Cain, sister and uncle of the bride.
Mrs. Gundacker is a graduate of St. Joseph's school and attended Elkader Junior college and is now employed here as commercial clerk of the Northwestern Bell Telephone company.
Private Gundacker is a graduate of the New Hampton high school. After attending college he was employed by the Bink Mercantile company here. He enlisted in February, 1941, and spent 31 months in the Aleutian Islands.
