Leonhart - Biedermann marriage - 1944

Volga City: A pretty wedding occurred Sunday, April 16, in St. Paul's Lutheran church at Garnavillo, when Miss Helen Biedermann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Biedermann, Volga City, became the bride of Derryl Leonhart, Third Class Petty Officer of the U.S. Navy, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Leonhart, Wadena. The Rev. Victor Hackbarth, pastor, officiated. Miss Dicy Leonhart of Wadena, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid, while Earl Biedermann, the bride's brother, was the groom's attendant. Ushers were Oliver and Louis Biedermann, brothers of the bride.

Since graduating from high school here in May, 1943, the bride has been employed in Cedar Rapids. The groom has just returned to the states from ten months' duty at sea.

The new couple plan to establish their home in San Francisco, Calif.
