Hedemann - Miller marriage - 1944

Easter Sunday, Miss Helen Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Miller of Dubuque, became the bride of Grover Hedemann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hedemann of Garnavillo, at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Garnavillo with the pastor, the Rev. V. C. Hackbarth, officiating. Miss Jean Degenford, friend of the couple, acted as maid of honor, while Miss Jean Moellering, friend of the couple, and Mrs. Beverly Lannon, cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids. Little David Miller, nephew of the bride, acted as ring bearer. Darrell Hedemann attended his brother as best man, while Ted Auer, friend of the couple, and Lawrence Miller, Jr. nephew of the bride, acted as ushers.

The bride is a former resident of Elkader, having received her education in the schools here. Her husband attended the Garnavillo high school and Elkader Junior college.
