Miss Betty Ruth Bishop, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max B. Bishop, and Keach D. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Johnson of Roodhouse, Ill., were married at the home of the bride's parents on the afternoon of April 02. They were unattended. Rev. George M. Richter, pastor of the Congregational church of Elkader, officiated. Songs were sung by Martha Lou Humphry of West union, a cousin of the bride. Wedding music was played by Mrs. Ralph Humphry of West Union, an aunt of the bride.
Mrs. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Chicago and has a M.A. degree in Social Service Administration. For the past five years she has been employed by the Illinois Children's Home and Aid society with headquarters in Galesburg and Jacksonville. Mr. Johnson is a graduate of Illinois college of Jacksonville, Ill. He has an M.A. degree in History from the University of Illinois and for the past three years has taught at Illinois college.
