The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Miss Maxine Rodas of Elkader, friend of the couple, was maid of honor, and bridesmaid was Mrs. John Gottschalk, sister of the groom. John Gottschalk, brother-in-law of the groom, was best man, and Eugene Horstman, friend of the couple, served as usher.

Mrs. Hoffman is a graduate of the Elkader high school and has been recently employed here by the Bink Mercantile company. The groom attended the rural school and is now a successful farmer on the Hoffman farm, where the new home will be made.
