Owen - Tarbox marriage - 1944

STRAWBERRY POINT: LaRue Persis Tarbox, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Percy F. Tarbox of Strawberry Point, and Donald L. Owen of Cedar Rapids, were married here Thursday at the Methodist church. Rev. Reginald D. Acheson of Sioux City, uncle of the bridegroom, performed the ceremony. He was assisted by the Rev. R. Park Anderson, pastor of the local church. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Schoon of Cedar Rapids were the attendants.

Mrs. Owen is a graduate of the local high school and is employed in the office of the Dr. Fenton's Vigortone company in Cedar Rapids. Mr. Owen graduated from Spirit Lake high school and the State University of Iowa, and is a member of the Young Men's Bureau of the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Cedar Rapids. He is employed in the accounting department of the Collins Radio company.

The couple will establish their home in Cedar Rapids.
