Harnack - Hubbard marriage - 1944

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hubbard of Strawberry Point are announcing the marriage of their daughter, Miss Cleo Hubbard, to Sgt. Kenneth Harnack of Dyersburg, Tenn., son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Harnack of Elkader. The ceremony took place Monday, Jan. 31, at the parsonage of the Friedens Evangelical and Reformed church at Elkader, the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating. The couple were attended by Miss Bernadine Harnack, sister of the bridegroom, and Harry Hubbard, cousin of the bride.

Mrs. Harnack is a graduate of the Elkader high school and Elkader Junior College and attended summer school at Upper Iowa University at Fayette. For the past year she has been teaching in the Littleport High School. Sgt. Harnack is also a graduate of the Elkader High School He attended Elkader Junior College for one year, enlisting in the Army Air Corps in Oct., 1942.

Mrs. Harnack will continue her teaching and Sgt. Harnack will report back for duty.
