Crane - Hamlett marriage - 1944

Miss Irene L. Hamlett, for the past several years a teacher in the Strawberry Point school, and Charles M. Crane of Elkader, a volunteer in the U.S. Navy, were married Thursday, Jan. 13. Rev. P. J. Boyle of St. Mary's Catholic church officiated.

Mr. Crane has just finished boot training at the U.S. Naval Training School, Farragut, Idaho, and is home on furlough.

Miss Marian E. Hamlett, sister of the bride, and Pvt. Raymond L. Wach of the Coast Artillery, Alahambra, Calif., uncle of the bride, were attendants. Pvt. Wach is also home on furlough.
