Lizzie C. Daily married E. N. Dunlavy on July 8, 1874 in Garden Grove, Decatur County, Iowa. E. N. was born in 1849 in West Virginia [Virginia at that time]; Her father, John Daily, signed the marriage application.

Her parents are enumerated in the 1880 Decatur County, Iowa census; However, in the 1880 Greeley, Weld County, Colorado census a John Daily, age 60 and son-in-law, Ellwood Dunlavy, age 31, born West Virginia are enumerated together. Perhaps her father is enumerated twice, once in Iowa with his wife and another time in Colorado with Ellwood.
