Theodore Fleskes & 2nd wife, Mary Anna Bruch (Wiederin, Fleskes).
Johanna Mary Fleskes & August Sebastian Wiederin. These 2 couples have a double connection. Not only are Theodore & Mary Anna husband and wife, but Theodore is the father of Johanna Fleskes and Mary Anna is the mother of August. So they are each step-parent & in-law to the other's child. It goes like this; Theodore Fleskes & his 1st wife, Bernadine, were coming from Germany with their children (William Theodore, Johanna Mary, John Hermann & Ewalt Hermann), and Bernadine. Mary Anna Bruch was married to Alois Wiederin, had 8 children (including August Sebastian), then Alois Wiederin died. Their ship arrived June 2, 1879. The 1880 census, Mt. Carmel, Carroll Co., IA lists Bernadine. She was buried Oct. 9, 1880 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Kneist Township, Carroll Co., IA. I don't know her death date, just the burial date. Theodore Fleskes & Mary Anna Bruch Wiederin married, combining their households of children. In 1889, step-siblings Johanna Mary Fleskes & August Sebastian Wiederin married. Note: Theodore Fleskes, father of John H., both mentioned in the Mt. Carmel 100th Anniv. book excerpt. Also if you link, August & Johanna are about 1/2 way down in the Mt. Carmel cemetery photos.
