Evanoff

Demo lived in Wisc., where he worked in zinc mine for three months.  Then in 1914, at 25 yrs of age, he moved to Coon Rapids, Iowa, where he first worked in the railroads.  In November of 1916 he was promoted to section foreman.

On Feb. 17, 1925, he married Blanche Holloway and moved to Templeton, Iowa.  When they first came to Templeton the streets were of mud and there were eight trains running through each day.

On May 11, 1930, their daughter was born, Ione Catherine.  Ione grew up in Templeton and married John Kisgen.  They have five children.  In Jan. of 1962, Ione and John moved to Florida.

Demo and Blanche started going to Florida for the winters for 14 years and did this until October of 1976, when they decided to move to 235 So. Park Blvd., in Venice Fl.

Demo is now 91 yrs old and has been married for 56 years.
