I do not believe that your ancestors are connected in any way with Wright County, Iowa or even Iowa City in Johnson County. What is your source that Althea died on April 15, 1899 in childbirth?

To see what I could find in Wright County records, I looked at a number of records and I believe that Althea did not die in childbirth in 1899 but lived until 1960. I believe that Althea is Althea Lura Jane Anscomb.

The following is a synopsis of what I located:

In the 1900 census, Orin Lyons and wife Lura (born December 1870) are enumerated as having been married 8 years with the wife giving birth to 1 child. The marriage record on January 2, 1892 corroborates this. Death records also further corroborate this.

I located the following:
Clyde McKinley Lyons, born Woodbury County, Iowa [Sioux City] on 15 April 1899

1900 Census, Worthington, Nobles County, Minnesota:
Albert O. Lyons, born October 1863, Iowa
Lura A. Lyons, born December 1870, Minnesota, married 8 years, 1 child.
William Lyons, born April 1899, Minnesota

Osceola County, Iowa Marriage Index:
Orien Lyons, age 30 to Althea Luena Anscomb, age 23
2 January 1892 in Sibley, Osceola, Iowa
Groom's Parents: Jacob Lyons and Esther Bennett
Bride's Parents: John Henry Anscomb and Sarah Rathburn

1925 Iowa State Census, O'Brien County, Iowa:
Lura Jane Lyons, 51, born MN, parents John Anscomb and Sarah Rathburn

Mckinly Lyons, age 25 to Leona Lumby, age 18, marriage 4 April 1925 in Sibley, Osceola, Iowa

Washington State Death Records:
Clyde McKinley Lyons
April 15, 1899 -- July 12, 1966, Marysville, Snohomish, Washington

1880 Census -Graham Lake, Nobles, Minnesota
Sarah Anscomb, widowed is enumerated with her children -- the youngest being, Altha J. Anscomb, age 10, born Minnesota.

Further in the 1870 Census in Nobles County, Minnesota, the Anscomb family is enumerated with 9 children. Those born between 1858 and 1870 are Naomi, 12; Annette/Antoinette, 8; Alfred 6; Millie, 4; and baby Alpha, born January 1870

Some researchers on the Internet believe that there is another sister, Lorraine born in 1863. I believe that she is the daughter, Althea Lura Jane born in December-January 1869-1870;

What are your thoughts? An obituary in 1960 might give you some more leads.
