In 1905, Backus and Lida were in Pleasant View Twp, Norman Co, MN. The last census I can find for Backus and Lida is 1910, Eagle Grove, Wright Co, IA, enumerated with son Jesse and his wife Anna. Jesse and Anna were still in Eagle Gove in the 1915 State census, but no sign of his parents. According to the obit of Abbie Leach Bishop, Backus was alive in March 1912 and living in Eagle Grove. There is no record of death in Wright Co for Backus or Lida. Thus far, their death location remains a mystery.
