THE SILENT REAPER.

Mrs. Elizabeth Cavanaugh Drake, wife of Aaron K. Drake, died Saturday morning, Nov. 15th, at the family home in Decorah, death being due to a complication of diseases of a year’s duration. The deceased was born June 12, 1849, in Ireland and came to America at the age of fifteen years For a short time she resided at Steubenville, Ohio, and then came to Decorah, where she has since resided. She was married to A. K. Drake on March 6, 1868. Three children were born to them—Mrs. Henry Haas of Decorah, Mrs. Louise Chamberlin of Minneapolis, and Charles Drake of New York,--all of whom, with her husband and seven grandchildren, survive. The funeral was held Monday morning last at St. Benedict’s church Father Hawe officiating, and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Drake had many friends in and about Decorah who testified their appreciation of her worth by beautiful floral offerings.
