THE SILENT REAPER.

Mrs. Elizabeth Landmeyer, wife of George Landmeyer, died on Nov. 11th, after an illness of about two years, the cause of death being rheumatism. The deceased was born in Lonnebeck, Hanover, Germany, September 13, 1850, and came to America in 1873, settling at Buckley, Ill., where she was married to Mr. Landmeyer a short time after her arrival. They continued to reside at Buckley for some time, but have been residents of Winneshiek county for about thirty years. Thirteen children were born to them, but four died in infancy. Beside the remaining children she is survived by her husband. In 1883 Mrs. Landmeyer joined the German Methodist church and was a faithful member up to the time of her death. The funeral was held last Friday afternoon at two o’clock at the Canoe German Methodist church, Rev. A. F. Damerow officiating, and interment was made in the churchyard cemetery.
