On Tuesday night, Ralph Peterson, the eight months’ old baby boy of Mr. and Mrs. John Peterson passed away. He was taken ill a few days before and was expected to recover when an acute attack summoned the grim reaper. Called so, in the innocence of babyhood, the inspiration, the baby smiles, the lisping baby language will be a memory long and dearly cherished. Its mission on earth was short, the reunion will be eternal. Funeral services occurred Friday at the Washington Prairie church, Rev. Koren officiating, with interment at the cemetery. The afflicted family have our entire sympathy.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows his name as Rudolph. He was born Sept. 14, 1912 and died May 14, 1913. He is buried in the Washington Prairie Lutheran Cemetery. However, there is a son Ralph listed who was born in 1913 and died in 1914.
