—The aged father of M. J. Soukup, of this city, died at his home at Spillville last Saturday and was buried on Friday. He was sixty-five years of age; the cause of his death was lung fever.

—In announcing the death of Mr. Soukup, of Spillville, last week, two serious errors were made. He died on Wednesday and was buried on Friday, at the ripe age of 71 years. That an error existed was manifest from the reading of the item, and it ought to have been corrected by the proofreader, but was not probably because election week is the one off week of the year in a newspaper office.

Transcriber's Note: Find a Grave shows this was Frantisek who was born April 10, 1825 and died Oct. 30, 1895. He is buried in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.
