Frank Ryant
Funeral services for Frank Ryant, 55, who died at his home north of Spillville Tuesday March 13, were held Friday morning at 10 o’clock at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic church. The Rev. Alphonse Biskup, pastor, conducted the services and interment was made in St. Wenceslaus cemetery. Mr. Ryant was born Oct. 26, 1889, on a farm southwest of Spillville and his entire life was spent in this vicinity. He was married to Ludmilla Riha on Oct. 15, 1915. To this union three sons were born, Alois of Calmar, Ernest, who is in the service and stationed in Texas and Edward at home. In 1921, Mrs. Ryant passed away. On Nov. 20, 1923, he was united in marriage with Mary Pizinger at Protivin. A son Joseph was born to them. Besides his four sons, he leaves his widow, his aged mother, one sister, Mrs. Anton Karnik of near Fort Atkinson and two grandchildren. His father preceded him in death in 1931.
