Mrs. Frank Poshusta

Funeral services were held Friday morning from the home to the St. Wenceslaus Catholic church at 9:30 for Mrs. Frank Poshusta, who died Tuesday noon, Dec. 12, at her home following a brief illness. Rev. Biskup celebrated the requiem mass and officiated at the graveside service. Casket bearers were Richard Huber, Fred Kala, Jas. Bina, Jr., Walter Hruska, Martin Frana and Jos. Ludwig. Louise Hruska was born June 3, 1889 in Spillville, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hruska. Aug. 12, 1913, she was married to Frank Poshusta in Spillville, where they have made their home for more than 30 years. Surviving with Mr. Poshusta are four children, T-5 Wilmer Poshusta, who recently received a medical discharge from the army; Norman, serving in the Philippines; Lou Ann and June Poshusta at home. A son, Vernon, her parents and two brothers preceded her in death. Three sisters, Mrs. Anna Valenta, Lankin, N. D.; Mrs. Mary Frana, Calmar; Mrs. Caroline Sobolik, Spillville; one brother, Jos. Hruska, Omaha, Neb., and two grandchildren, Althea and Michael Poshusta. The deceased, who was always of a cheerful disposition, made her home a supremely happy one. She was especially devoted to her family and her countless friends will always remember her kindly attitude toward all who came in contact with her. The community deeply mourns with the bereaved family in their loss.

Those who came from a distance for the funeral were Mrs. Frank Valenta, Larkin, N. D.; Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Hruska, Omaha, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. James Frana, Calmar; Mrs. Mae Hruska and Mrs. Jas. Drahozal of Cedar Rapids.
