Anton Tupy
Burial services for Anton Tupy, 68, who died Thursday from injuries received when the automobile he was driving was struck by a motor train, were held here Saturday morning at the St. Wenceslaus cemetery. Funeral services were held at Fort Atkinson, where he resided the past eighteen years. He was born near Spillville, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Tupy. After his marriage to Mary Jirak in 1893 they established their home on a farm southwest of Spillville, which their son William now operates. Survivors include his widow and son William and two daughters, Mrs. Rudolph Novotny of near Spillville and Mrs. William Bader of Protivin, one brother, Matt Tupy of Spillville, fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Phillips of Spillville.
