Funeral arrangements are being made for Rose Shevik, 68, who passed away Sunday evening Mar. 19, at Decorah hospital, where she has been a patient since Feb. 3. Funeral will be held at St. Wenceslaus Catholic church with the Rev. J. P. Chihak officiating. She is survived by one brother, Louis Shevik, who resides on the Shevik homestead southwest of Spillville where she was born and spent her girlhood days. She also leaves two nieces, Grace Shevik of this place and Mrs. Mary Shevik Hruska, of Calmar, two nephews, Raymond and Stanley Shevik, both of Spillville. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Shevik and her brother James have preceded her in death. A resident of Spillville for many years, the deceased was held in high esteem by her neighbors and enjoyed a large circle of friends who will miss her companionship, as she was of a cheerful nature and a friend to all.
