Margaret Roche Died In St. Paul, Burial at Plymouth Rock
Burial services for Miss Margaret Roche, who died at her home in St. Paul, Friday morning, April 18, 1941, were held in the cemetery at Plymouth Rock Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Fr. Stirn, pastor of the Plymouth Rock church, said prayers at the graveside.
The funeral mass was said in St. Paul Saturday morning and the body was brought to Cresco by train arriving at one o’clock in the afternoon. It was accompanied by deceased’s brother Lawrence, niece Annetta Roche of St. Paul and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Roche of Robbinsdale, Minn. Miss Roche, Lawrence and Annetta lived together in St. Paul.
Besides the above named relatives others from a distance who were here were John Roche of Chicago, Sister Mary Leonella and Sister Mary Cassian of Clinton, Ia.
Miss Roche was 77 years old. She was a resident of the Daley’s flats vicinity a number of years ago. She was an aunt of Lawrence Roche of Cresco and a cousin of Henry Ruddy, Bezie and Lizzie Walsh. There are also other relatives.
Among those attending the burial services were the following persons from Cresco: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ruddy, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Walsh, Bezie Walsh, Mrs. Mary Malanaphy, Mrs. Ernest Peter and Genevieve Kennedy.
