Thanks Harold, I’m sure we’re talking about the same Craig family. My records show William’s youngest son to be James Alexander Craig, b. 24 May 1871. He attended the University of Iowa, graduated from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, and interned at the Philadelphia General Hospital before returning to Keosauqua and taking over his father’s business.

He apparently married a Celia Ethel Perkins in 1902, and them remarried your Florence St. John in 1913. He died 11 April 1948 and, as you said, continued his practice right up until his death.

Thank you again for you little bit of history. It’s good to see the real people behind all the statistics.
