Daniel didn't come to Oregon. He died some time between the 1870 and 1880 Federal censuses in Iowa. He and Margaret had eight children, and I am descended from his son, Jacob Jackson Miller, b. 18 Oct 1833 in Fairfield Co., OH. Jacob brought his wife Sarah and six surviving children from Iowa (two died in Iowa) to Oregon in 1887, farmed in Marion County for a couple of years, and then moved to Portland, Multnomah County, where he lived until he died in 1925. I have more information on Jacob and his family, but I feel it's too much to include here. If you're interested, we can make other arrangements so I can mail it to you. I've never been able to figure out how to email information directly from my Family Tree Maker.
