Hi, Jeanine--My Millers were in VA, OH, IA, and ultimately Oregon. One 2nd cousin twice removed named Irwin Miller was born in Kansas in 1880 when his parents lived there for a short time. Their names were Thomas C. Miller and Sarah Arminta Vinson. They died in CA in the 1920s. I have no facts about Irwin.
I've not encountered any Highfields or Hunters in my research. Feel free to contact me again if that clue is of any help to you. Keep digging...good luck! Virginia
