I am sure the John Holland shown in the 1885 Kansas census is my Grandfather. Nearly everything since then appears correct. His marriage license from Custer county, Ne shows him being born in Iowa and his mothers maiden name as Belle (Last name is unreadable) but I believe it could be Wolford. At some point prior the 1885 her last name should have been Holland. His gravestone in Oregon has the name Wolford on the base and other Wolford's are buried in the same cemetery. So the question remains, who is his parents and where in Iowa was he born.
