Dave - I don't know that I can be much help but my wife's line is through the TROUTMANs and Cynthia was my wife's gg-grandmother. Cynthia's parents are buried at Hollsworth cemtery, Van Buren county. I have no evidence of the relationship of the other SCOTTs buried alongside her parents, but some clues might be found there. For example, one would wonder if Elizabeth SCOTT who died at age 76 in 1840 would be Cynthia's grandmother. You can find a listing of those SCOTT burials and gravestone photos at:
