HEART ATTACK PROVES FATAL TO KENDALL ATKINS LAST FRIDAY
Kendall Atkins, 45, a farmer of near Milton, died at about 2:30 p.m. of a heart attack, while sitting in the grandstand at the Iowa State Fair ground last Friday. He had gone to the fair early in the morning with Len Heisel, of near Milton. They were watching the auto races when he suffered the attack. He was immediately removed to the fair grounds hospital where efforts were made to revive him.
The body was brought to the Burnett funeral home in Milton later in the evening, the funeral being held from his home north of town on Monday morning.
Kendall was a familiar figure about Milton, had lived in and near here the greater part of his life, being the son of the late W. H. Atkins formerly living in the west part of Milton. He was never married, for several years living alne [sic] on his farm, but for the past few years had been living with his sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. George Davidson.
