SCOTT HUMBERT
Scott Lee umbert [sic], son of Ellis Baily and Indiana Humbert, was born on the old Humbert farm five miles south of Milton on June 16, 1870, and passed away at his home in Milton Nov. 24, 1927, aged 57 years 5 months and 8 days.
On August 10, 1892, he was united in marriage with Sadie E. Taylor at the home of her parents in Milton. To this union three children were born, Mary Ethel, Elva Gail and Ellis Scott. His companion preceded him in death on Nov. 11, 1926.
When a young boy he united with the M. P. church of Milton of which he was a member until it was disbanded and he then united with the M. E. church in Milton and continued a faithful member of the same until his death. He was also for many years a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodges.
