LENORA M. MCINTOSH

Lenora M. McIntosh, daughter of Ernest C. and Ina Cass Huff, was born May 11, 1909 near Bentonsport and died the evening of Monday, March 27, 1989 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, at the age of 79.

She graduated from Bonaparte High School in 1926, attended Parsons College, Fairfield, and taught in rural schools.

She was a member of the Keosauqua Congregational Church and its Women's Fellowship and taught Sunday School for many years.

She married Wyatt W. "Buzz" McIntosh September 27, 1930. He died in 1978. Her parents, a son, Jimmie Dale and five brothers also preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, William W. "Bill" McIntosh and his wife, Joyce, of Keosauqua, a daughter, Mary Ann Anderson and her husband Steve of Donnellson, and three grandsons, Jarrod and Kenny McIntosh and Corey Anderson.

Also surviving are three sisters, Marjorie Hamlett, Mt. Sterling, Ruth Peel, Davenport, and Edith Meredith, Troy, three brothers, Donald Huff, Hermann, Mo., Marshall and Robert Huff, both of Long Beach, Wash., nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 30, 1989 in the Keosauqua Congregational Church, with Rev. Lester Terlouw officiating. Interment was in Center Chapel Cemetery south of Keosauqua. The Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials were established for her church and Van Buren Good Samaritan Center.

KEOSAUQUA -- Lenora M. McIntosh, 79, of Keosauqua died March 27, 1989, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Dale.

The service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Keosauqua Congregational Church, the Rev. Lester Terlouw officiating. Burial will be in Center Chapel Cemetery, south of Keosauqua.

Family visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. today at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Memorials have been established to her church or Van Buren Good Samaritan Center.
