On Friday afternoon this community was greatly shocked to hear of the death of the two sons of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Whitcanack. This family had moved to the Thos. Yeager farm from Lebanon the week before. The two boys took sick on last Wednesday with acute catarrhai dysentery and passed away Friday. Rex, 14-month-old, was taken sick Thursday but is out of danger. The family has the sympathy of the entire community.

Harold Alonzo and William Carl, first and second sons of Harrison and Dot Whitcanack, were born on June 14, 1912 and November 12, 1914, and died on April 14, 1916, at the ages of 3 years, 8 months, and 2 years 5 months and 2 days.

Their [sic] leave to mourn their untimely going a father, mother, brother, Rex Orlo, four grandparent, [sic], eight aunts and seven uncles.

Funeral services were held from the Lebanon church Saturday afternoon, April 15, conducted by Rev. W. I. N. Densmore. They were buried in a double casket at Lebanon cemetery.
