WILLIAM J. BEBRGER [sic]
William J. Berger passed away at his home in Joliet, Ill., January 10, 1932, at the age of 83 years.
Sept. 30, 1870, he was united in marriage to Lucinda Hoskin, daughter of William Hoskin, pioneer resident of Van Buren county. To this union were born two children, Mrs. Clara Dunbar who preceded her father in death, and Charles W. Berger of Joliet, Ill.
He is survived by his companion of 61 years; his son, Charles, and wife, and three granddaughters, Gladys, Dorothy and June. For more than fifty years Mr. Berger had followed the profession of traveling salesman having retired from this profession three years ago when he moved from Minneapolis, Miin. [sic], to Joliet, Ill., to be near his son.
The funeral services were held at Richard Street M. E. church at Joliet, where he had been a faithful attendant. Interment was made in the Elmhurst cemetery.
