Lena was born 8-15-1849 died 8-15-1889.I am not sure where she died, I can only assume Iowa from family and that has been noted as Carrol County as well as Dubuque.I have just noticed that the census is from East Dubuque, Jo Daviess, Illinois family History Library Fim 1254216 page number 216C. Her son was born there so that makes sense.

She was married to
Martin Ludwig born 5-19-1848 in Prussa

died about 1893
Martin ran a grocery store.

They had one child
Henry Martin Ludwig 3-28-1873/ 9-18-1945
married Lucy Gertrude Talty 6-12-1773/9-12-1972
She was one of 11 children born in Dubuque, Iowa to James and Margaret Talty of Miltown Malbay, Clare, Ireland. She was born in a white house behind the Cathederal in Dubuque and her brother was buied in a cemetary on Kelly's Bluff.
They came to US via Canada in 1848 and followed the railroad to Iowa.
Herny worked for the Illinois Central and was part of the Brotherhood Div 114

Does that help? I know that the family lived near Clem Sheridan who married "Aunt Ann" and they had a candy factory on Bluff Street.
