I am hoping to contact anyone researching the Whitbeck surname in Iowa. My great grandfather was born around 1870, give or take a few years either way. His name was Clarence. If he was the son of Charles Whitbeck and Anna Kramer/Cramer of the Council Bluffs area, then he was a bigamist. He may have been the son of S W and Elizabeth Whitbeck in Webster CO on the 1870 census, but then, he would have been born in IL. Anybody got any other Clarence Whitbecks running loose?
