You are barking up the right tree. But, corrent your spelling of Hiestand (it's ie not ei - I've lived with that my whole life!) - or you'll not find information. I've got to get back to my research (haven't had time, lately) - but I do know we have the right family. Daisy was my G-grandmother, married to Samuel. She is buried in Ames, Iowa, her husband lived in Princeton, WI (where I live)until he died and he was taken back to Ames to be buried with Daisy. Carrie was married to his brother, Alonzo, and they were divorced. He died in a mental institution in Iowa. I have some records, but don't know why he was there - the family didn't talk about him. Daisy died 4-12-24 of pneumonia. Carrie died in Ames of a cerrbral hemorrage on 12-18-26. Their mother, Ellen P is buried in Ames ( I have the bill for her funeral) - b. 2-19-1838
d. 3-9-1907. Her husband was JJ Quackenbush or JG Quackenbush. I believe Ellen was born in New York. Daisy was born in Nevada, Iowa (small town outside of Ames) and Carrie was born in Dubuque, Iowa. Although information said Carrie was buried in Ames, I have not found her headstone. Daisy and Ellen are buried around the Hiestand monument in Ames Cemetary Pineview Section. Any additional info you have would be appreciated. My son played AAU basketball in Iowa - so I took time to do some research. This is all in Story County Iowa
