I have several letters from this Family, describing their first, and very difficult, years after emigration to Iowa. The letters are dated between 1884 and 1905

I am looking for descendants to share this information

Died: 26 Aug 1939 in Orange City Iowa
Buried: in West Lawn Cemetary, Orange City Iowa
Occupation: Farmer
Father: Eibert Kornelis Zuidema
Mother: Tetje Taekes Tuinstra

Wife: IJbeltje Leistra
Married: 10 Sep 1881 in Barradeel
Born: 14 Sep 1855 in Wijnaldum
Died: 22 Apr 1932 in Orange City Iowa
Buried: in West Lawn Cemetary, Orange City Iowa
Father: Pieter Klaases Leistra
Mother: Japke Pieters Hofstra

F Child 1: Japke Zuidema
Born: aug 1886 in Ireton Iowa

M Child 2: Egbert Cornelius Zuidema
Born: 31 Aug 1889 in Orange City
Died: 10 Jul 1980 in Redwood Mn
Spouse: Thekla ?? b. 27 Jul 1894 d. 24 Dec 1996

Teake Zuidema and IJbeltje Leistra married in Barradeel, Friesland, The Netherlands.
They left Friesland in or around 1884

In 1905 my grandfather’s brother; Doeke van der Schaaf, visited the family.
Both children, Japke and Egbert, were then living with the family.

According information found in "Fourteenth Census of the United States:
1920-Population" of 13 januari 1920 the parents lived in Holland Township
in or near Orange City, Sioux County, Iowa.
They owned their own house, mortgage free and were able to speak english
