I have searched the Newkirk and Orange City church records and all there is in them on the William (Willem) Vellenga family is the name Jantje or Jane or Jennie. No full date of birth. If she was born in Sioux county there is no birth record as they started in 1880 and very few were recorded then.
I have not been able to find them in the 1880 census or the 1870 census. I suspect she may have been born in Marion County IA.
I will keep hunting.
